Herbal and Natural Remedies for Colon Problems

Finding natural solutions to maintaining colon health is obviously a
great approach. Introducing chemical-based prescription medications
into the body can have adverse affects. Many people believe that the
benefits of taking laxatives or over the counter enemas far outweighs
any harm they may experience as a result of the chemicals that
compromise these solutions. A much better and healthier approach is
to seek out a natural solution. Some effective herbal remedies for
colon health include:

Garlic. This has become something of a wonder herbal remedy in recent
years as more and more people are recognizing the positive benefits of
adding garlic to their diet. Garlic has been shown to help reduce the
chances of developing pre-cancerous polyps in the colon. It is also
believed that people who eat garlic on a regular basis or those who
take garlic supplements are less likely to develop colon cancer.

Green tea. Another herb that has become a focal point for those
looking for a natural alternative to traditional medicine. In terms
of colon health, green tea is believed to help reduce a person's risk
of developing cancer in their colon.

Grape seed extract. Recent studies have shown that consuming grape
seed extract can actually slow the progression of cancer cells in the
colon. For someone with a history of colon cancer in their family,
adding this natural substance to their daily diet can be worthwhile.

Turmeric. A fundamental ingredient in curry, this herb is proving to
be an ally in the fight against colon cancer. Taking a supplement
that contains turmeric can help to reduce the risk of polyps adhering
to the wall of the colon.

Ginger. Another spice that is an integral part of many dishes, this
substance has proven to be effective in continued health in the colon.
Adding ginger to the diet as a spice can help prevent the development
of cancer cells within the colon. Although it can be taken as a
supplement in capsule form, it's much better tasting and easier to
absorb when added as an ingredient during cooking.

One natural remedy for continued colon health is Vitamin D. In its
most natural form, Vitamin D is derived from direct sunlight. Many
people believe this is the best way for the body to absorb it. If
this is the approach that the individual takes, they should be aware
of the damaging effects of the sun on skin cells and therefore using a
sunscreen is recommended. Vitamin D can also be taken in the form of
a daily supplement. It is also found in many foods and is often added
to orange juice as well.

Calcium should also be taken in a supplement form in an effort to
improve colon health in general. Many people find it difficult to
drink milk products because of intolerance to lactose. If the person
has irritable bowel syndrome it becomes even more difficult to
comfortably eat or drink dairy products. In addition to being a
natural remedy for colon problems, calcium is also essential for
strong bones, which helps to prevent osteoporosis later in life.

Nutritional Approaches and Remedies for Colon Problems

Experts believe that anyone's colon can remain healthy and in perfect
functioning order with a few simple nutritional changes. A balanced
diet that is rich in certain foods is said to aid in the digestion and
elimination of food. Some good food choices that anyone can make to
ensure a healthy colon include:

A diet rich in fiber. The average adult doesn't get near the
recommended amount of fiber in their diet each day. Fiber aids in
digestion so it's important to consume the minimum recommended 25
grams of fiber per day.

A diet low in animal fat. Red meat is said to cause problems
associated with heart health. It is now being linked to colon
problems as well. Restricting or eliminating the intake of red meat
is highly advisable. Substituting the red meat with either chicken or
fish has a positive effect on the colon as well as many other body organs.
Fruits and vegetables. Specifically peppers, carrots and oranges have
been shown to help prevent colon cancer. They are also beneficial in
maintaining a healthy body weight which contributes to a healthy colon.

Limited saturated fats. In addition to eating less animal fat,
individuals concerned with the health of their colon should also
restrict how much saturated fat they are eating. Saturated fat can be
found in whole milk, butter and ice cream.

An adequate supply of calcium each day. In addition to helping
provide strong bones and teeth, calcium is crucial in keeping the
colon healthy. An average adult should consume at least a quart of
milk each day. In addition, cheese and yogurt are also excellent
sources of this mineral and should be an integral part of everyone's diet.

Many people believe strongly that in order to keep the colon clean and
healthy, organic foods should be consumed. With the availability of
organic foods in many corner grocery stores this ideal is becoming
easier to achieve. In addition, it's been suggested that eating whole
grains each day can have a beneficial effect on colon health as well.
Three servings of whole grains in the form of breads, cereals and
pastas should be consumed on a daily basis. This will also prove
helpful to individuals who are trying to control their weight in an
effort to stay healthier.

Eating out can be a challenge for someone trying to eat in a healthy
manner. It is primarily about choice and in almost every situation
there are healthy choices to be made. It is simply a matter of taking
the time to become informed about what foods are healthy and which are
filled with empty fats.

Drinking water in the amount of eight glasses a day should be a normal
part of every person's daily routine. Water helps in the digestion
process and it also aids in elimination. Although some people are apt
to add sugary drink mixes to the water, that isn't advisable because
of the empty calories. Instead, spring or mineral water should be
drank in place of other beverages including soda and coffee.

Colon Cleansing For The Best Health

As with any part of the human body, we need to keep the colon
healthy. One way to do this is through a process known as colon
cleansing.

I've found that a system called the Almighty Cleanse is a most
effective way to do this.

So, why do we need to cleanse the colon?

The colon, better known as the large intestine or large bowel,
is the part of the intestine from the cecum to the rectum. It
plays an important role in the body, because it rids our system
of toxins, fecal matter and waste while absorbing water and
nutrients. One will find a very delicate balance of bacteria in
the colon, which assist it in its processes. If this balance is
disturbed out of sorts, normal colon functioning can be
inhibited.

My research shows that many adult Americans have a colon that
is indeed out of balance, a colon that is not functioning to an
optimum level.

As your colon is responsible for eliminating all waste from
your body, it is critical to maintain a healthy colon in order
to enhance your health and vitality. In a clean colon,
elimination occurs on a regular basis. When your colon becomes
impacted or full of material, elimination becomes infrequent
and your body will process fewer vitamins and minerals from
your food. This condition is commonly known as constipation.

The reason for this is easy to understand. If the walls of the
colon are lined with waste matter, then it's hard for the `good
guys' that is, the nutritive parts of your food, plus the
necessary water, to get past this blockage and into your body.

I find that many people still aren't aware of the need for a
clean, and thus healthy, colon. But consider that Americans
have the highest rate of colon-rectal cancer of any nation in
the world. This type of cancer now accounts for more deaths
than ever before in American history.

I imagine that one reason it's not so popular to talk about
this matter is because many people think it's a dirty subject
and some think it's embarrassing. Well, that can be, but cancer
and death are worse. Maintaining the health of your colon can
help to significantly improve your overall health and limit the
occurrence of constipation and diarrhoea as well as many other
health problems.

So, how do we cleanse the colon? There are numerous methods
available. Some involve going to clinics where a rather
imposing machine pumps your colon full of water and then
flushes it out. An enema will also help, but this method would
tend to be incomplete.

I've found that a good formula that you drink yourself is quite
beneficial. A good formula is one that is designed to detoxify,
clean out and refresh your body without uncomfortable cramping
or loose stools.

It will be made of various herbs that are known to either help
to flush out the waste, the faecal matter, from your colon, or
to help regenerate the good bacteria in your colon. Experts
tell me that some ingredients, all natural herbs, that a good
formula has, includes senna, cloves, ginger, psyllium seed and
several others.

Along with doing such a cleanse with a good formula, you might
want to concentrate, during those days, on eating a lot of
fresh fruits and vegetables, perhaps some other good roughage
food, and drinking plenty of good water, fresh juices and other
healthy drinks.

The benefits to your health are enormous. For example, you'll
find that colon cleansing can help you in many ways, including
weight loss, better mental health and concentration, improved
digestion and nutrient absorption, better memory and increased
energy. It can also give you clearer skin and an overall
healthful feeling.

There are numerous ways that you can help your own health to
improve or to stay at an optimum level. A good diet, proper
rest and exercise and a positive attitude toward life are all
very important.

But a colon cleanse, without which many of us won't be getting
proper nutrition, is also a very relevant part of a good
personal health regimen. Consider using Almighty Cleanse for
this.

Early Detection Yields High Survival Rate For Colon Cancer Patients

Thanks to highly reliable tests as well as more frequent
testing, colon cancer has become known as one of the least
deadly cancers. If caught in its earliest stages, this type of
cancer can be completely eradicated from the body. In order for
it to be detected, however, patients must undergo a test known
as a colonoscopy to check for polyps that might develop into
cancer. This test is especially important for those over the
age of 50 since there may be no symptoms that cancer is
beginning to form.

Some of the warning signs of colon cancer include blood in the
stool, diarrhea, a change in bowel habits or pain in the
abdomen or rectal area. It is not uncommon for those suffering
with this type of cancer not to experience any of these
symptoms at all. A doctor's physical examination will also
generally not uncover any abnormalities. Really the only way
for this type of cancer to be detected is by performing a
particular test known as a colonoscopy.

During a colonoscopy, your doctor will use a video camera
attached to a thin flexible tube to examine the inside of your
colon. While he is conduction his examination, your doctor can
remove any small polyps he might find. You will be given both a
shot to reduce pain as well as an anesthesia to help you relax
during the test. Nearly everyone who undergoes a colonoscopy
will tell you the most unpleasant part of the test is the
preparation.

This is because the colon must be completely clean before the
test can be successfully completed. When he schedules your
test, your doctor will also give you instructions on how to
cleanse your colon. These instructions will usually involve
taking a combination of pill and liquid laxatives as well as
using an enema and not eating solid foods for a day or two
before your test.

There are a variety of factors that can increase your odds of
getting colon cancer. These can include a family history of the
disease as well as a personal history of breast cancer or cancer
elsewhere in the body. Those with Crohn's disease also seem to
be more susceptible to this type of cancer. Your diet may also
play a role in whether or not you develop colon cancer. Eating
a high-fat, low-fiber diet with lots of red meat can also
increase your odds of developing this condition.

If you are diagnosed with colon cancer and your doctor is not
able to remove the polyps or cancers during your colonoscopy,
there are a variety of other procedures that have proven very
successful in treating this type of cancer. Chemotherapy and
radiation are both forms of treatment used for this type of
cancer. Depending on how far your cancer has spread, your
doctor may have to perform surgery to remove the cancerous
portion of your colon.

Currently, the prognosis for those diagnosed with colon cancer
is excellent. This is especially so if the cancer is caught
early. Be aware of your risk factors for cancer; also have a
colonoscopy if your doctor suggests it. This test could save
your life.

How to Cleanse Your Colon With Food

Most people new to the idea of colon cleansing for good health, are
turned off by the idea of doing an enema or colon irrigation. So they
look for alternative methods to cleaning their colon, and one of the
most natural colon cleansing methods they discover is food.

Food is one of the best techniques to use for cleansing your colon.
Now, there are several approaches to using food for colon cleansing,
so we'll look at a couple of those here.

First: The lack of food can help cleanse your colon. Technically this
is called a fast, or a body detox technique. Using this colon
cleansing method, you simply go on a juice only diet for about one
week. Juice fasts can last for two to three weeks if you'd like
though, and many people use them for both detoxing their body and
losing unwanted body weight.

Juice fasts can be done using either fruit or vegetable juices, but if
you're diabetic you may want to water down your fruit juices because
they do contain high amounts of natural sugar.

Not everyone can handle going without solid food for a week or more
though, so that brings us to our primary colon cleansing method:

Food. Yes, real, solid food that will fill your stomach.

The best types of foods to eat which will help your colon cleanse
itself gently and naturally, are high in fiber.

Whole grain and bran cereals for instance, are an excellent way to get
extra fiber into your diet and help cleanse your colon. You may want
to try adding flaxseed to your breakfast for even better results.

Anything green and leafy is another excellent source for helping to
cleanse the colon. Try eating plenty of vegetables such as spinach,
broccoli, and various salad greens.

One of the best foods for helping you cleanse your colon though, is
fruit. Blackberries for instance, have a whopping eight grams of fiber
per cup, and all that extra fiber does a wonderful job of cleansing
your colon. Prunes and prune juice are also excellent foods to use for
cleansing your colon, and just about any other type of fruit or fruit
juice which usually makes you have a good bowel movement will work as
well.

The whole point of cleansing your colon naturally using food, is to
increase your body's waste elimination process for several days at the
minimum. You want to force your body to start flushing out the solid
waste materials, so that it's also carrying the toxins and bacteria
out of your body more quickly too.

Colon Cleansing With Herbs

When you're not getting enough fiber in your diet, then your colon is
probably suffering from being clogged with hard and dried solid waste
products which aren't able to move out of your system quickly enough.
When these waste products back up in your colon, you are at much
higher risks of having health problems, because the toxins and
bacteria which are in that waste are supposed to be moved out of your
body through your bowel movements... and they're just sitting there
leaking back into your body instead.

This is why colon cleansing is so important to your overall health and
wellness. By making sure the colon is clean and clear of old waste
deposits, your body is not being poisoned by the bacteria and toxins
which is carried within that waste.

The best natural and gentle way to clean your colon is to change the
foods you eat. Eating plenty of extra fiber from fruits, vegetables,
and whole grains will help you have more regular and frequent bowel
movements, and this in turn will clear the old wastes from your colon.

If you're not able to eat enough extra fiber in your diet though,
there are some herbal supplements which work quite well to help
cleanse your colon too. The best single herbal supplements to use for
cleansing your colon will also help cleanse your liver at the same
time. And this is extremely useful to your body, because it will allow
the liver to function more effectively at removing toxins and bacteria
from your body.

Slippery Elm is an excellent single herbal source to use for helping
cleanse your colon. This herb will normalize the stools in your colon,
so if you have a backlog of dried waste that is not moving well, this
herb will help soften it. If you have diarhhea however, this herb will
also help make that more solid too.

Dandelion is another excellent herb to use for cleansing your colon
naturally, and it's also wonderful for cleansing the liver at the same
time.

There are also various herbal laxatives you may want to try, to help
cleanse the colon more quickly without harmful side effects. You'll
find some specific herbal laxative suggestions at the link below.

One other thing you may want to use for herbal colon cleansing, is a
supplement mixture. These mixtures are special formulas which combine
multiple herbal sources to give you the best all around natural and
gentle approach to colon cleansing. You'll find more information and
recommendations for that at amoh.org.

Treat Yourself to a Colon Cleanse to Improve Your Well-being

Do you feel as good as you want to feel? Or perhaps would you like to feel a little better? I think almost everyone would agree that it's possible to improve their well-being. Some can certainly benefit more than others. You may not realize it, but many of your bodily systems are affected by the health of your colon. So if you're really looking to improve your well-being, you need to treat yourself to a colon cleanse.

Most of the disease and deterioration that we experience in our bodies is linked to the toxins that we are exposed to every day. Some of these toxins we have no control over, but some of them we willingly put into our own bodies. Most Western cultures eat very poorly. We crave taste and we are attracted to clever packaging. We end up eating high sugar, high fat and low fiber foods, which is a diet completely opposed to what our bodies were designed for. It's only natural that such an unnatural diet would eventually take its toll.

Our bodies actually have a wonderful capacity for self repair. In normal situations, bodily systems can work together to remove most toxins. Many of our human organs are actually designed specifically for the purpose of transporting poisonous waste materials out of our body. But unhealthy habits overload the system to the point where wastes begin to accumulate and damage eventually results. Even those who've chosen to follow a healthy lifestyle can't avoid some of the environmental sources of toxins and disease.

A colon cleanse is an excellent way to help our body systems cope with the overload. Not only is your colon one of the most critical areas of your body's waste management system, it also happens to be the best starting point any time you wish to remove toxins from your body.

The function of the colon is to remove liquid and minerals from waste matter and then to eliminate what's left from the body. However, when you don't drink enough water or eat enough fiber, then the colon can't do its job effectively. The whole process begins to slow down and become inefficient. Waste matter begins to accumulate in the nooks and crannies of your large intestine. Unhealthy bacteria begins to grow. The colon begins to become obstructed, which makes the problem even worse.

An effective colon cleanse, along with an improvement in your diet and lifestyle, can have a dramatic effect on your well-being. It helps your body remove the accumulated waste and stops the reabsorption of toxins that are making you feel so bad. When fecal matter accumulates in your colon, toxins that should normally be eliminated in a bowel movement remain inside your body and are reabsorbed into your bloodstream. This is certainly not how your body was intended to work, so your overall well-being is severely affected.

Severe fatigue and a feeling of lethargy often indicate the need for a colon cleanse. But a whole host of other symptoms could result as well, from hemorrhoids to bad breath. Which means your body's well-being is affected from one end to the
other.

A colon cleanse may be something that you've never done before, and everyone is naturally suspicious of new things. This is probably especially true when it comes to colon health. However, just exactly how bad are you willing to feel before you try a colon cleanse?

You'll experience the benefits of a colon cleanse throughout your entire body. When you restore your colon to natural functioning and good health, you remove a great deal of stress from your other bodily systems. Even parts of your body that you didn't realize were affected will improve.

There are several different varieties of colon cleansing products available on the market today. Many of these are safe, effective and easy to use. If you just feel "down" overall and you haven't been able to put your finger on a specific ailment, what would it hurt to try a colon cleanse? If you don't feel an improvement, then at least you will know that your colon is functioning healthfully and is not a fault. But you may find out that a colon cleanse was exactly what you needed.

Colon Cleansing Promotes Good Habits

Colon cleansing is an excellent preventative measure and a good
first step to a healthy colon. Colon cleansing is not just for
people with constipation, but for anyone who wishes to feel
better, strengthen their inner organs and improve their energy
and appearance. It is one of the most effective forms of
detoxifying your colon and your entire body.

Colon cleansing is sometimes required because over a period of
time, toxins become accumulated on the walls of your colon. In
fact, 90% of all illnesses and diseases are due to an unclean
colon. A dirty colon not only causes illnesses and disease, it
can also prevent us from losing weight simply because we are
not able to break down and excrete the food that we eat.

A good colon cleanser cleans the bowels and the nutrition and
supplements provided in the system further support healthy
colon function and aide in the reestablishment of the helpful
friendly flora of bacteria that resides within the colon. I
recommend taking acidophilus culture after colon cleansing,
which can be purchased at any health food store. A good colon
cleanse program also cleans the colon by breaking down hardened
wastes from the intestinal walls using herbal tabs. Its the
easiest colon cleansing program to follow. Please note that you
should check with your physician before beginning any colon
cleansing or detoxification program if you have health
concerns. Then do the colon cleanse program once every 3 months
for healthy colon maintenance.

Exercise is an important part of a cleansing program as well as
eating a proper diet and drinking plenty of fluids. If you've
been looking into things like colon cleansing diets and
different ways to detox your body, you should consider colon
cleansing at home with an herbal cleanser. Our standard diet is
generally now full of food which has been changed in many ways
from what nature intended. An unhealthy diet is primarily the
cause of a poisonous colon. The standard North American diet –
full of trans fats, excess sugar and carbohydrates, as well as
refined products, and proteins – leaves our bodies depleted of
much-needed vitamins and minerals. It is a sad fact that in a
land of plenty, the average American does not get enough
roughage in their diet. Although there is no drastic diet
restriction during the course of colon cleansing, it is
important not to overeat and consume processed and junk food
during the course.

Colon cleansing is an important way to minimize the digestive
tracts exposure to the multitude of micro-organisms we
encounter daily. Colon cleansing is not habit forming but
feeling good and looking good can most definitely become good
habits.

What Is The Best Gentle Cleanse For Your Colon?

With the rise in number of people who have a digestive
disorder, and the increased number of people being diagnosed
with colon cancer on a yearly basis, it is not surprising that
more people want to try out a colon cleanse for themselves.
So, where should you start? I suggest a gentle cleanse for the
colon initially to gauge the results that you have.

There are a number of different approaches to cleansing the
colon, and each has its own process. Some of them tend to be
carried out by a trained individual at a spa or clinic, and
others can be carried out at home.

Let's have a look at some of the options, considering both the
good and the bad:

Colonic hydrotherapy (colonic irrigation) – This procedure is
normally carried out at a spa or clinic and it is practised by
trained staff. The process involves the insertion of a tube
into the colon and liquid is then used to flush away any waste
material that may be present.

It is a painless process, and one session can clean the whole
colon.

The issue that people sometimes struggle to be happy about with
this procedure is that it requires a third party to be involved
in the process with you. Also, it is worth checking the price
to ensure that a treatment is within your budget

Taking Enemas – Enemas have been used for thousands of years as
an approach to treating digestive disorders. In involves
inserting a tube into the rectum and allowing fluid to enter
the rectum and colon. This then softens waste that may be
present in the lower colon and stimulates bowel movement.

There are a number of different enema kits that can be used at
home. They are most likely to be sold at a pharmacy near you.

The downsides of the enema are that it can only tend to bath
the rectum and a small part of the colon, and it can be a
little awkward to set up for someone new to colon cleansing.

Taking an enema is gentle and considered safe, although it can
take some time to get used to it, and initially there may be
stomach cramping until you get used to them.

Herbal preparations and colon cleansing kits – There is a huge
variety of these on the market and so discussing each one if
not feasible in this article. However, they all tend to work
in a similar way, by inducing a laxative affect and attempting
to "scrub" the bowels of any lingering waste material.

Some also contain ingredients that are intended to soothe the
bowels and help with the healing process.

Many of these kits also encourage changes in diet, Which leads
us on to.

Dietary changes – The main cause for colon health problems is
likely to be the diet that a person has been following to date.
So, it stands to reason that changing the diet can help the
body recover.

There tends to be too little roughage in most people's diet in
the "industrialised" nations, and far too much food that is
high in fat and which has been overly processed.

Increasing the intake of fiber, and reducing the foods that are
high in fat and have little nutritional value (like most
processed foods) can help the colon regain health naturally.

Initially, aim to eliminate all foods that do not contain some
form of fiber. Do this for a few days to increase bowel
movements.

Also, increase the volume of water consumed. This will help to
flush out the toxins in the system and ease the removal of
waste.

The most gentle cleanse for your colon is to follow a high
fber, low fat diet. This will slowly bring the colon back to
normal health, although it will take some time.

Colon Cleanse For the Removal Of Mucoid Plaque

Finding no relief from some of your chronic symptoms? A colon cleanse to help remove mucoid plaque is an option that you can consider. Mucoid plaque is something in your body that most people would not have heard of. Yet this is an idea that it exists amongst natural health advocates.

This plaque is apparently the cause of your digestive disorders, allergy problems, skin diseases and other symptoms, as well as sluggishness and low energy levels. Please note that such claims are not supported by scientific or medical research. Despite the controversy, there are many people who submit their testimonials each day to reaping enormous benefits from removing mucoid plaque.

The idea of its existence first originated from Richard Anderson, ND. Here is a brief summary of what he said. Mucoid plaque is a coating that forms in your gastrointestinal tract. It is formed when your body produces too much mucus. It does this because it wants to protect itself from potentially toxic substances. You need to remove mucoid plaque as the presence of mucoid plaque acts as a health threat. Mucoid plaque reduces your ability to absorb nutrients, impairs your digestion and provides a haven for parasitic microorganisms. It is a breeding ground for toxins. In addition, mucoid plaque is the root cause of many types of cancer, skin allergies and reduces your bowel transit time.

In short, mucoid plaque is formed when you have too much toxins in your body. Toxins can enter into your body from consuming unhealthy and processed foods, breathing in polluted air and drinking unfiltered water. Unfortunately, your body cannot remove and process these toxins, when it is overloaded on a constant basis. Instead it stores the toxins by forming mucoid plaque. This toxic storage can cause many different health conditions that most people accept as a natural part of life.

To get rid of mucoid plaque, naturopathic experts recommend that you colon cleanse. There are many different ways that you go about colon cleansing. One of which is with the use of herbs. Colon cleansing herbs are essentially herbal remedies that are known to help remove the waste from your body in a more efficient manner.

A colon cleanse usually involves fasting, in addition to taking herbs to help cleanse the digestive system. You would need to fast for a period as you do not want to simultaneously load yourself with more toxins by eating unhealthy foods during the period of cleansing.

Colon cleanse to remove mucoid plaque may just what you need in order to feel better, less tired, and more able to deal with life. Despite the absence of scientific evidence, there are several anecdotes submitted by various people testifying to the theory of huge accumulations of fecal material in the bowel.

Those that have removed mucoid plaque through colon cleansing report having more energy than they have ever had as compared to previously. There are also several testimonials of other benefits. Colon Cleanse For Colorectal Cancer Prevention

National statistics show that colorectal cancer is one of the top three common forms of cancer, with 130,000 Americans affected yearly and resulting in 60,000 deaths. Colorectal cancer can be said to be a disease of modern times, since it is virtually unknown 100 years ago.

Colorectal cancer is also known as colon cancer or bowel cancer. It refers to cancer in the colon, rectum and appendix. It is found that many colorectal cancers develop from polyps in the colon. These mushroom-like growths are more often than not, benign and not therefore not life threatening. But some may become cancerous over time. You would need a colonoscopy for a diagnosis of colorectal cancer. Colorectal cancer treatment usually involves surgery followed by chemotherapy.

While colorectal cancer has been studied to be one of the most common forms of inherited cancers, the condition of the average digestive system must be taken into consideration. After all, can it be truly said that the genes in the human body have mutated fast enough in 100 years to cause an inherited disease?

Since many people also show many other digestive disorders, natural health experts pinpoint the cause to be toxins. Toxins can come from various sources such as dietary and environmental factors. To prevent colorectal cancer, therefore, a colon cleanse would be beneficial. This process can heal herniations of the colon and polyps. In addition, a colon cleanse is soothing to the intestinal tract, relieving it years of accumulated waste.

Colon toxicity also results from the growth of parasites and unhealthy bacteria. This can add to the problem of constipation, irritable bowel syndrome and gas. To a great extent, it is impossible to avoid toxins altogether while living in the modern world with its many conveniences. The only way around the toxicity issue is to do regular colon cleanse.

Do note, however, that a colon cleanse would not be suitable if you have serious problems or are already on medications. You should always check with your physician to make sure that you are safe to do one.

There are several ways to do a colon cleanse for the prevention of colorectal cancer. You can get colon cleansing herbs from your local health store. The benefits of cleansing are several. They include less bloatedness, more energy and easy bowel movements of at least once a day. You also strengthen your immune system and improve your overall health with a colon cleanse.
